K.O Plans To Explore Amapiao With A Twist! Award Winning Rapper K.O has ditched hip-hop to explore his sound in other genres before but has also brought a different feel to hip-hop. K.O has featured on DJ Maphorisa and DJ Raybel’s gqom hit iWalk Ye Phara.
A fan mentioned the rapper on twitter saying that he had an idea that he could get behind “Skhanda Piano”. The rapper replied to the fan saying that he is looking into exploring the amapiano genre as the demand for it in South Africa rises exponentially.
K.O tweeted, “Piano is obviously the wave and kungekudala we are going explore it nathi kancane by putting our own twist to it“.
K.O is amongst a number of rappers who have taken the leap of faith, explored amapiano and been successful in exploring it. Cassper Nyovest, Riky Rick, Focalistic, and Costa Titch have all featured on successful amapiano songs that very quickly became hits.
K.O has announced that he will not let the COVID-19 pandemic hold him back. He told his fans can expect an album from him in the second half of 2021.
His album will come after his 2019 release PTY UnLTD that featured his Say U Will featuring Nandi Madida. The song won Best Collaboration at the 2020 SAMA Awards.
