Zingah Reveals One Thing K.O Taught Him While A Part Of CashTime. Zingah has an extensive list of collaborations and features under his belt. The talented artist has worked with the likes of DJ Maphorisa, A-Reece and Saudi and even rubbed shoulders with African superstar WizKid.

Zingah joined BigStar Johnson on ‘The Pro Cess’ to talk about his 10 year journey as a rapper and how he feels about the state of SA hip-hop right now. Most importantly he spoke about the one thing K.O taught him while he was signed to CashTime.

Before joining CashTime, Zingah revealed that he had never been in a professional studio.

When he signed me I had never been in a professional studio environment. What I mean by that is that I had never seen musicians that work in music professionally, in the process of making music. My first experience of that was with these guys, Teargas. The best at the time.” Zinga said.

He continued to praise K.O’s leadership skills in a studio environment. “What killed me about that was seeing this nigga was involved in the whole process of every bit of the making the product. In the studio he’s leading the idea of the song, the selection of the production, the content of the direction.”

Zingah also spoke about his transition from being a part of CashTime to being a solo artist and making music on his own. He said that the move from CashTime gave him the energy to be who he is now as he’s dabbled in various genres and collaborated with artists outside of hip-hop.

BigStar asked the Dlala rapper what his opinions are on where SA Hip-Hop is right now. He commented on the matter saying that what is happening right now is important, however amapiano artists have become as cool as hip-hop artists.

He explains that amapiano artists are currently making music that more people are into.
