Having been successful through his ‘Fill Up’ events, filling up some of South Africa’s biggest stadiums Cassper has influenced plenty of young rappers. In 2020 the rapper released his fifth album Any Minute Now and was greatly received by SA hip hop fans. Amademoni went Gold and Good For That went platinum.

Blaq Diamond Celebrates Milestone On SummerYoMuthi Music Video

Ambitiouz Entertainment’s rap duo Blaq Diamond took South Africa by storm with their amazing talents. The Durban duo made waves in 2020 with their single Summer Yo Muthi. The single went on to achieve one million views within a week of its release. The duo recently received four platinum plaques, one for their album Umuthi and three for their singles Summer Yo Muthi, Ibhanoyi and Love Letter.

Nasty C Expands Zulu Man With Some Power Brand And Launches Podcast

Nasty C is easily one of South Africa’s biggest rap stars. In 2020 the rapper released two projects, a mixtape hosted by American DJ, DJ Whoo Kid and an album Zulu Man With Some Power. Nasty also launched his first documentary with Netflix titled Zulu Man In Japan. He also released a powerful track with American rapper T.I titled They Don’t. The song was made to take a stand against the racial injustices in the United States.

Award winning rapper Riky Rick is a rapper who has shifted the hip-hop culture. The Ungazincishi hitmaker has been quite on the music front but has featured on some of SA’s biggest tracks including Big Zulu’s Mali Eningi, Mr JazziQ’s amapiano hit VSOP and Focalistic’s Onroko. Riky launched his own podcast during the nationwide lockdown speaking to some of SA hip-hop’s finest talent.

Yanga Chief won the SAMA award for Best Hip Hop album for his EP Becoming A Pop Star. In the same year he dropped his debut album Pop Star. He has been noted by the SA Hip-Hop community as one of the most influential Xhosa rappers in South Africa.
