AKA Defends Daughter Kairo’s Post About King Goodwill Zwelithini’s Death
AKA Defends Daughter Kairo’s Post About King Goodwill Zwelithini’s Death! The death of the Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini shook the country. South Ah took to social media expressing their sadness at the passing of his Royal Highness including some of our favorite rappers like AKA.
AKA described King Zwelithini’s death as the highest profile death in SA since former President Nelson Mandela. “Condolences to the entire Zulu nation, definitely the most high profile passing since Mandela,” he tweeted. It seems however the post that got tweeps’ attention was his screenshot of his daughter Kairo’s Instagram post about the King’s death. Kairo’s account which is managed by AKA’s mother had posted a tribute writing, “Our nation has lost a king
Hamba kahle Silo samabandla. King Goodwill Zwelithini ka Bhekuzulu.”
Critics who assumed Kairo herself had published the post criticized the rapper questioning how his young daughter would have such knowledge about the King and called it weird. AKA clapped back defending his daughter who is half Zulu from her mother Zinhle’s side. “What’s weird? A 5 year old celebrating/honouring her heritage?,” AKA tweeted adding that Kairo also thinks “the tooth fairy is real” after another critic said she wouldn’t know who the king was.
We love how AKA stays ready to defend his family and his relationship with Kairo. Check out how SA rappers paid their condolences to King Zwelithini HERE.
