Cassper Claps Back At Assumptions That He Only Spoke About The University Protests Because Of AKA. Cassper and AKA have always had a competitive side towards each other for years now, however they have both said that fans need not push the competition onto them.

Cassper Indirectly Reacts To AKA's Engagement

Cassper recently took to twitter to share his opinion of the student protests that took place at Wits University on the 10th of March 2021. A critic assumed that the Bonginkosi rapper only tweeted it about it because AKA had voiced his opinion too.

The critic tweeted, “He just saw Aka tweeting about the strike now he also wants to get into it.

The Family Tree CEO did not take lightly to the comment, asking why people think it is a competition of who voices their opinions first.

Cassper’s tweet read, “Some of yall are dumb as f*ck. An innocent black man was killed by the Police while students were fitting for thier future and you don’t want me to voice my opinion cause your favorite tweeted about it before me? You think this is a competition? O sematla!!!!“.

The two rappers have been fairly active in student protests before. In 2015 during the Fees Must Fall marches around the country, both rappers pledged to donate a large sum of money to erasing student debt.

AKA donated R100 000 and Cassper donated R50 000 towards Fees Must Fall.

Other rappers also took to their twitter pages to share the outrage of the University Registration Protests. AKA mentioned that the day was certainly not a day for celebration.

Kwesta shared his opinion, mentioning that the a minister will distract citizens from what is actually going on by trying to silence the students.

Sony Music Executive, Nota Baloyi asked himself where the younger generation of rappers are to express their opinions and stand up next to the students in their time of need.
