Def Jam Africa recently took to twitter to announce the most streamed Mixtape in South Africa. They announced that Nasty C and DJ WhooKid’s Zulu Mixtape as the most streamed in the country.

The record label tweeted, “The Boy Nasty C Keeps Winning, #ZuluMixtape Is Officially The Most Streamed Mixtape In South Africa.

Nasty C’s Zulu Mixtape was released in June 2020 in anticipation for his Zulu Man With Some Power album release.

Nasty C has been on a roll since the start of 2021. He released the music video for his single Black And White with American songstress Ari Lennox and was significantly well received.

The music video has achieved over 2 million views in only two weeks of its release. The viedo was a take on what a relationship during lockdown would look like.

Nasty C became the first South African rapper to appear on one of America’s biggest talk shows The Ellen DeGeneres Show performing Black And White with Ari Lennox.

He also grew his Zulu Man With Some Power brand and launched his own podcast in collaboration with Old Mutual’s AMPD Studios that includes industry chats with the likes of Slikour, and several music executives .

The Bookoo Bucks rapper always has something music related in store for his fans as he has mentioned plans to release a project sometime in March 2021. He has not shared any further details about the project only that him and his team were in the selection process of for the final track list.
