During The Masterclass Podcast, Rashid Kay and OG Samke unfolded concerns on SA rappers not finding the real chemistry to work with each other. At the same time, being able to aid other upcoming rappers to make it in the game. The two radio personalities mentioned that all the young artists who have made it this year were not put on by anyone rather they have to hustle their way to the top of the game.

N**gas who are top there they trying to protect their spot, they think new n**gas are gonna take over their spot,” said Rashid Kay. The rapper went on and mention that SA rappers must take notes from US Hip hop when it comes to uplifting other artists. He highlighted that the hip hop pioneers in the US evolved the game by putting on other young artists.

“If hip hop came from America we need to learn from America that, 50 Cent put on G-Unit, Eminem put on D12, Dr. Dre put on Snoop, Eminem, 50 Cent, The Game, Kendrick Lamar.” He further highlighted that SA hip hop rappers at the top are not doing enough to push up young artists and there is lack of chemistry and connection within the hip hop space itself.

“Even when we do features, have you seen Amapiano N**gas on Instagram they will be jamming in the studio together, but rappers they record in their own corner and they will email you their verses.” “They don’t record together, they are not together in the studio, they are missing that connection.” He said.
