Kwesta Celebrates Having The ‘Classic Album Of The Week’ On Apple Music. Multi Platinum selling rapper Kwesta has achieved everything and more in the last few years with just one album. The rapper has celebrated achieving a multitude of success on single’s released off of his DaKar II album in 2016.
The Fire in the Ghetto rapper recently took to twitter to celebrate his Platinum selling album DaKar II being named Apple Music’s ‘Classic Album Of The Week’. He praised the album saying that it is still the greatest and encouraged fans to listen to it.
His tweet read, “Greatest …STILL. My album, DaKAR II, is classic album of the week on Apple Music, please run it up, all week long! New music on the way!“
The album recently celebrated five years of its release. The album’s accolades include the album itself going 13x Platinum, Ngud’ featuring Cassper Nyovest being certified 58x Platinum and Ngiyaz’fela Ngawe being certified 119x Platinum. The album featured the likes of DJ Maphorisa, AKA, and Busiswa. After being quiet for the past few years. Kwesta is ready to release some new music for his fans.
In 2020 he released a few singles in 2020 and featured on tracks with the likes of The Big Hash, Blaklez and Pdot O.
Kwesta released his first single of 2021 in March, Fire in the Ghetto that featured Troublle. He has announced that he has already completed his upcoming album and in an interaction on social media with with his wife Yolanda announced that the album will be dropping on the 2nd of April 2021.
The successful rapper has not announced any other details about his upcoming album but only announced the release date. If his next album is anything close to what DaKar II is then it will be an amazing release for the rapper.
