Nasty C Explains Why He Hasn’t Moved To America!

Nasty C Explains Why He Hasn’t Moved To America! It looks like Nasty C is plotting his own ‘Coming 2 America’ real life story and it’s only a matter of time until it happens. This should not come as a surprise that the ‘Zulu Man With Some Power’ rapper would be considering relocating to the Unites States considering his global music domination in the last year.

Nasty C has seen success globally but mostly has gained popularity in America after signing to DEF Jam Records, collaborating with some of the biggest rappers in the US like his idol T.I and recently singer Ari Lennox on the Coming 2 America soundtrack “Black And White”. Nasty C also recently made history as the first SA rapper to be featured and perform on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert and performing on The Ellen Show.

It would seem to make sense that Nasty C would want to move to America with all the interest in his music there. Speaking to TshisaLIVE recently, the rapper explained what’s delaying the move stating that it’s all due to COVID-19. He revealed that for him to be granted access to America is if he first quarantines in a non-hazardous country for 14-days until it is determined he does not have the “mutant” virus which is not possible for him to do. “Going into quarantine in another country will take too much out of my schedule now,” he said.

“I will move to the States as soon as it is possible to do so. Right now it wouldn’t be a good idea. Americans don’t seem to want South Africans there because they think we have a mutated variant of Covid-19 that is worse than the others, so we’re not allowed to go there,” he added.

Nasty C told the publication that he was focusing on making new music. He revealed that he has collaborations in early stages with a couple of new age American rappers but won’t say much about the projects for now.

“I am just making more music, finishing up projects, getting ready for new adventures. I’m also doing a lot of collabs with American artists for when I land that side. We already have songs in motion. I don’t know if I should say it but there’s like five guys who I have done songs with who are in my kind of space. Like, in the new age hip hop scene. If I say it now too many people will get too excited too soon,” Nasty said.

Do you think Nasty C has a bigger chance to win a Grammy if he’s based in America?
