Nota Has Some Notes For Slikour About His Interview With Nasty C. Nota Baloyi is known for speaking his mind about SA hip-hop whenever he feels necessary. The Sony Music Executive has come under fire for his opinion a few times. This time he isn’t holding back.
Nasty C recently featured Slikour as a guest on the first episode of his Zulu Man With Some Power podcast where the two spoke about Nasty C’s rise to stardom. Nota had some things to say about Slikour’s interviewing skills asking why he conducted the interview in that way.
He specifically asked why the interviewer is explaining his questions and then answers them for artist.
Nota wrote, “What kind of interview is this? Why is this interviewer explaining his questions as if he needs a translator and then answering the questions for the subject? SMH Slikour has zero credibility. As long as he’s getting a cheque he’ll kiss ass. No integrity!“.
Nasty C and Nota have previously clashed when he took it upon himself to pat himself on the back for Nasty C rapping in isiZulu. Nasty C clapped back calling Nota a ‘junkie’.
He also used the opportunity to mention Kwesta who Nota previously managed. Nasty C said Kwesta is a goat in his own right and got to where he is through his own efforts.
Nota has also mentioned that Nasty C is an American wanna be who portrays American culture more than his own.
Nota has also commented on Nasty C’s album titled Zulu Man With Some Power highlighting that Big Zulu deserves the title over Nasty C because of Big Zulu’s impact and authenticity in SA hip-hop.
