Sjava Celebrates Milestone On Umsebenzi EP

The Umama hit maker recently took to twitter to comment on a post where a tweep shared his appreciation for thifted clothing. The twitter user posted a picture of a usual thrift site captioning the photo, “Thrift appreciation tweet”.

Sjava commented on the image posting three photos of himself thrifting clothing for his amazing outfits. He wrote, “I will never stop“.

Sjava has always been open about thrifting his clothes. Thrifting is a more affordable way of sourcing clothes for most people, and is just as stylish as clothing sold in upper end clothing stores.

In January 2021, Sjava celebrated a milestone on his Umsebenzi EP. He announced that since the release of the EP, it had accumulated over 5 million streams. The EP was released in December 2020 which means it had achieved such a milestone in only two months.

Sjava also celebrated received the PanSALB Language Activism Award for 2020/2021.

He has not formally announced his plans for his music but, Sjava did team up with Trompies for the release of their music video for their single uKhala Kanjani featuring Mbuzeni. He has been fairly quite about his musical plans for the year 2021, but hopefully fans can expect a full length project from him after not releasing one for while.

Sjava has not released a full length project since 2018. While he was under Ambitiouz Entertainment, he dropped Umqhele that featured his hit track Umama.

Stay tuned to see what Sjava surprises fans with next in 2021!
