Cassper: “It’s The So Called Gate Keepers Or Taste Makers Who Tried To Push The Narrative That I Can’t Rap”. Cassper Nyovest rose to the top as one of South Africa’s most prominent rappers. He has proven time and time again that he is a force to be reckoned with on the SA Hip Hop streets and doesn’t take lightly to competition or being dragged down by his fellow industry mates.

Cassper Gives Himself A New Nickname Inspired By His Latest Feature

The Egyptian Cotton rapper recently took to twitter to give Zakwe a shout out for being one of South Africa’s most underrated lyricists. He also mentioned that his fans know that he is an elite MC and that it is the ‘gate keepers’ or ‘taste makers’ of the industry who try to push the narrative that he can’t rap and the fact that he makes music that people can dance too.

He wrote, “Shout out to Zakwe for the flowers. Let’s not get it twisted doe, the fans know I’m an elite Mc. It’s the so called gate keepers or taste makers who tried to create the narrative that I can’t rap because they were not fans of my music and the fact that I make dance music too.

Could it be possible that Cassper is firing shots at Rashid Kay who previously spoke out about Gate Keeping in SA Hip Hop being a myth saying that 90% of radio compilers are House DJs. Cassper has previously spoke out about Gate Keeping highlighting that the one thing he loves about amapiano music is that there are no gate keepers, it’s either your song is hot or it’s not.

Cassper has already claimed 2021 as his year, having said that he plans to put out 3-4 projects and make more amapiano music. He has already given fans a taste of what he’s up too. He recently released his first single of 2021 Ama Number Ayi’10 featuring big names in amapiano, Abidoza, Kammu Dee & LuuDadeejay.
