DJ Switch On Why People Shouldn’t Panic About SA Hip Hop Right Now. SA Hip Hop fans are excited for what is to come from the industry in 2021. Some still have some doubts about the SA Hip Hop game right now and aren’t too confident about the future of the industry, but DJ Switch says we shouldn’t worry too much.
The star producer and DJ took to his twitter page to share that he feels that no one should be at panic about where SA Hip Hop is right now. He mentioned that no one should be fearful because there is a new wave of rappers that are on the come up currently in the industry. He continued to mention that there is a lack of growth in the industry.
His tweet read, “I never understand why people panic about hiphop in South Africa when there is a new wave coming in We really lack growth here in this sector“.
New wave rappers that are leaving SA Hip Hop fans wanting more include Blxckie, who is currently doing extremely well. The young rapper has an upcoming collaboration with American rapper Vic Mensa and fans can’t wait to hear the upcoming track. Other new wave rappers include Hanna, Indigo Stella, Maglera Doe Boy, Majorsteez and LucasRaps.
DJ Switch has already begun 2021 on a high note, with the release of his single Flood Gates featuring Gigi Lamayne, Taylor T, and Pillboyy. The DJ also dropped a music video for the single. Shortly after the release of the single he mentioned that he was excited for what’s to come from SA Hip Hop in 2021 after receiving Gigi’s verse.
The popular DJ has not announced if he plans to drop more music in 2021 or better yet a full length project, but time will tell!
