American rapper Vic Mensa has been spending some time in South Africa exploring what our country has to offer and hanging out with some celebrities and his girlfriend Nadia Nakai. He has hopes that he’ll collaborate with some of SA’s top talents.
Vic recently appeared on the latest episode of POPradio with hosts Ms Cosmo and Scoop Makhathini. The three spoke about Vic’s visit to South Africa, his music career, and his thoughts on Chesa Nyama. Ms Cosmo specifically asked Vic, while he’s still in South Africa if there is anyone he wants to collaborate with. He answered that he would like too and dropped the names of two SA talents that are rocking the country right now.
“I really would like too. We just got back to Joburg, I think yesterday. Um I really would like too.. My man Gibson was just putting me on.. What’s the name of that artist you was just putting me on? He was super dope“. Vic said.
“Focalistic… Focalistic is hard!“. Scoop spoke about the Ke Star hitmaker’s fusion of both Hip Hop and Amapiano into his sound and how the dancing translates to more than just South Africa. Vic continued to say he was just listening to Focalistic’s Ke Star remix with Nigerian superstar Davido.
