In the interview AKA also takes a moment to speak about Anele’s funeral, where he claims that he requested to give a tribute to Anele. The rapper mentioned that through the person who was handling his affairs at the time, he reached out to the Tembe family to for a chance to speak to the funeral. He says that when he sat down for the service and upon opening the booklet he saw that his name was not included.

His response simply read, “We held memorial services all week preceding Anele’s funeral service. Kiernan’s father and Kiernan’s friend spoke alongside Tembe Family. Kiernan never made a request nor was ever denied the opportunity to read his message on the day of the funeral.
