“Blxckie is basically about my complexion. Growing up people used to try tease me about it but I listen to a lot of Hip Hop and watch a lot of Hip Hop movies, the one thing I learnt was that people tell you that something about you is off or like they tell you about it the best thing to do is take it in your own hands and own it and that’s what I’ve been doing and that’s where Blxckie comes from.” He explained.
Blxckie explained that his 12-track debut album B4Now serves as him introducing himself into the industry again. He explained in an interview with MacG that he made all the songs on the album before he became a mainstream artist and so he wanted those songs to shine.
