Ex Global Speaks On The Wrecking Crew Split: “I Was Accused For Something I Didn’t Do”
Ex Global Speaks On The Wrecking Crew Split: “I Was Accused For Something I Didn’t Do”. The Wrecking Crew was one of SA Hip Hop’s most successful and most loved rap groups. The crew’s members included Flvme, A-Reece, MashBeatz, Ecco, Wordz and Ex Global himself. There has been a lot of talk about what actually went down in the crew split and Ex Global clears a few things up.
Ex recently joined Lee Lives for an interview on The Connect about his music career, his successes in being independent, and upcoming merchandise amongst other things. The rapper also spoke about The Wrecking Crew split and what happened. Lee asked Ex if he feels there will be any reconciliation between the crew’s members to which he answered,
“I mean, I can’t speak for anybody so that’s something I don’t even know cause I can’t speak for anybody or I don’t even know how they feel, or how anybody feels. So that’s something I can’t speak on because… I can tell you right now, I don’t know“.
Ex explained that he doesn’t have beef with anybody but he did say he is willing to sit down with everybody and talk it through. The two then got into Ex’s single Ray J where Lee hinted at the track being a diss track where Ex dismissed her statement and spoke about what rumors were being spread about the crew split.
“People were saying I slept with someone elses girlfriend, that’s why the crew split. So I was just clearing that, that I did not sleep with anybody and that’s not the reason why the crew split. That was just me clearing that out.”
“That’s my ex, that’s why the song makes sense because that’s my ex it’s not someone I slept with while dating another person.“
“I was accused for something I didn’t do. I keep seeing all these assumptions so instead of me tweeting about it, I leave it all in the music. So I will never speak on it through like a tweet or through an interview. I’ll put it in a song.“
