“I’m So Upset”: Nota On Makwa. Music Executive Nota has played an active role in assisting some various artists that needed assistance in the industry. He has been active for over 10 years and previously worked with Kwesta but is now on his own quest in the industry.
Star record producer Makwa recently went on IG Live to demand his money from artists that owe him. Makwa posted a confidential statement from SAMRPA (South African Music Performance Rights Association) that only lists 8 songs that he’s worked on. Makwa mentioned that the list should be longer. The artists featured included DJ Maphorisa, DJ PH, Kwesta, Ms Cosmo and MFR Souls.
Nota joined Makwa towards the end of his IG Live to assure that Makwa will get what is owed to him. Nota later went on Twitter to inform tweeps that he visited Makwa but he is upset at how the producer has abused his kindness. In his tweet he also wrote that he has done nothing to Makwa but fight for him to get what belongs to him. Nota attached a photo at Makwa’s gate.
His tweet wrote, “I went to Makwa’s last night. I’m so upset at how he’s abused my kindness, I wash my hands. A grown man with 2 children who won’t take accountability and address those who have taken advantage of him? I have done nothing but fight for him to get what’s his. He’s now on his own…“.
Makwa has been speaking out about money being owed to him for a long time now. In January 2021, he spoke out about artists deliberately skipping out on payment and purchasing designer items. He has also spoke out about being mistreated in the industry with pH Raw X standing up for him saying that he shouldn’t be feeling the way he does.
