Nadia Nakai recently celebrated her 31st birthday and flew out to Tulum in Mexico to spend in on baecation with American rapper boyfriend Vic Mensa. The Practice collaborators have been sharing wholesome photos of their baecation on Instagram.
Here are some highlights of the two getting cozied up in Mexico.
Nadia also took a dip in the ocean and went snorkelling. In the Insta story Vic asks her why she’s wearing a life jacket when she jokingly replies “They think black people can’t swim”.
Vic also snapped these beautiful evening pics of Nadia, with Nadia captioning them, “birthday Bae on her birthday!”.
The two rappers have been together for a few months now and started connecting over Instagram. Nadia mentioned that Vic wanted to collaborate with her some now and found himself rapping on her single Practice which she had to push back the release of her deluxe album for.
The two met up in Vic’s home country Ghana to shoot the video for the song. Nadia said that the video shoot was her first time working with videographers outside of South Africa. The high quality music video dropped in April 2021 and fans can’t get enough of it.
Vic spent some time in South Africa exploring different parents of the country with Nadia. The two visited Soweto, Cape Town and Hoedspruit in Limpopo. In an interview about his trip to South Africa he mentioned that one of his favourite parts of the trip was the food and that Nadia should probably open a Chesa Nyama in America.
