AKA Explains Why He Didn’t Address The Personal ‘Heavy Stuff’ On His Joint Project With Costa Titch! Rapper AKA has gotten candid about why he did not address his personal issues on his new joint EP with Costa Titch. The rapper’s personal issues that he has gone through this year have played out in the media for the public to witness. Many of his fans had expected the rapper to address some of these issues in his new music, however that has not been the case.

Supa Mega during his interview on radio station YFM’s breakfast show, YMornings with DJ Ankletap and Kandis Kardash, spoke about why he choose the musical direction he did, especially since there is a huge elephant in the room about his personal life. The rapper also confirmed that he is working on his solo project which just might drop later this year.

“The first music that people wanted to hear from me, was after I went through all my stuff this year and whatever. And people probably wanted to hear me talk about all that stuff, but I felt like yo, summer is back. I can’t come out all sad and heavy. Let me get the jiggy stuff out the way and do like good vibes. Obviously later in the year, my project is still gonna come out and then I’ll deal with all that heavy stuff, “ explained Supa Mega. The rapper also revealed that the joint project with Costa Titch was already in the works prior to him taking a step back from the music scene. “Look also credit to Costa cause when everything happened we had to put everything on hold. It was like eish is Kiernan gonna sink or is he gonna swim, shared AKA.

AKA is still dealing with the tragic passing of his fiancee Anele Tembe and was recently left triggered by Thando Thabethe’s personal question during their interview on 947. The interview trended on social media as people weighed on how AKA reacted to the question asked by the radio host. AKA has however apologised to Thando for the way he acted during the interview. “I’ve been seeing a lot of whoo ha on social media about our interview on Friday  For the record I just wanna say that @thando_thabethe has always been in my corner from the start, even through everything that has happened this year.  It’s unfortunate that I felt triggered by the way she asked her questions and I could have handled it better, after all she’s just doing her job and all that,” wrote AKA in an Instagram post.
