L-Tido Reacts To Being Called A Rap Legend By Pdot O. L-Tido is certainly one of South Ah’s top Hip Hop acts. The rapper has certainly solidified his place in the industry, despite having not released a project in a while, his reputation as a great rapper has not shifted. Recently the rapper was given his flowers on social media by rapper PDot O, real name Siphelele Mnyande. PDot O is one of SA most revered lyricists and certainly has been around the game long enough to know a rap legend.

PDot O took to social media and shared exactly what he thinks of L-Tido, real name Thato Madonsela. The East London native rapper shared that he thinks L-Tido is one of SA rap legends. “I think @L_Tido is one of our SA rap legends,” read the tweet. L-Tido has a catalogue featuring hits such as Dlala Ka Yona and No Favours. In 2010 L-Tido scooped the Best Newcomer in Africa award at the Channel O Music Video Awards. Not only has L-Tido scooped awards he has topped charts, his single We Rollin at one point was the second biggest song in the country according to RAM charts.

L-Tido was certainly flattered by PDot O’s kind words and responded that coming from him the words mean a lot. “Means a lot coming from you!” said L-Tido. Several fans agreed with PDot O’s statement and agreed that L-Tido is certainly a legend. PDot O’s complement certainly sparked interest in fans for new music from the rapper. L-Tido last dropped a project in 2018 when he released his album 16. Despite the album having several bangers, it didn’t perform too well, the rapper put the blame on the marketing not being done well. L-Tido has previously spoken about not getting the credit he deserves for his contribution to SA Hip Hop. The rapper responded to a tweet that listed his music and revealed that people are only given credit when they are dead.

Fans are hopefully that L-Tido being praised by PDot O will give the rapper that much needed push to finally release new music for his fans, after all, they have been waiting. L-Tido is not the only rapper that has been given his flowers on social media, recently Sizwe Dhlomo praised L-Tido’s We Rollin collaborate K.O and called him one of the most consistent rappers in SA.
