On the 8th of June 2021, Cassper together with CEO and Founder of Drip Footwear Lekau Sehoana brought close friends, colleagues and media partners together at a popular hotel in Johannesburg to announce that the rapper is signing a deal worth a whopping R100 Million with Drip Footwear.

Dressed in a black suit sitting next to Lekau Sehoana, the two made the announcement and it was met with sheer joy and high spirits as they were celebrated by their colleagues. Lekau explained how the two met and how their stories are similar. They explained that the deal had been in the works for quite some time.

Notable attendees of the event included fellow rapper Moozlie, Deputy President of the EFF Floyd Shivambu and many others.

Fans and members of the SA Hip Hop community took to social media to congratulate the rapper on the deal. DJ Franky wrote to Cassper congratulating him on the deal.

In anticipation for the announcement, Cassper kept fans on their toes about when it would happen. The rapper also changed his nickname to Don Billiato and announced it through his feature on DJ Mr X’s Asambe featuring the Skhanda World gang.

The rapper is also gearing up to release a brand new album, Sweet & Short 2.0 so it has definitely been an amazing year for the rapper.
