Costa Titch Recounts Stilo Magolide’s Unexpected Reaction To One Of His First Performances: “I Actually Wanna Talk To Him About It”. Costa Titch came into SA Hip Hop guns blazing with his breakout single Nkalakatha. Since then the award winning rapper has been on an amazing run with his music and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the country.
The Areyeng hitmaker recently featured on Riky Rick’s Lab Live along with Creative Directors, Zeus Omega, and Kai speaking about his time in SA Hip Hop and all their different thoughts about the genre currently. Costa spoke about his earlier times coming up in the industry transitioning from being a dancer to being a rapper.
Costa remised about a moment where he performed at Johannesburg North club Cantare where Rap group Boyz n Bucks was present. Stilo Magolide was a part of the group and he spoke about how Stilo reacted to his performance at the time.
“I’ll never forget this day. I actually wanna talk to him about it. I was performing one of my records at Cantare on Phat Thursdays. I remember Boyz n Bucks standing right at the front dawg, right there at the front. And then I look at Stilo while I’m performing and he’s laughing at me. Do you understand?“
The room errupted, with Zeus Omega saying that he has too many stories about Stilo and Riky asking himself why he always has to come to Stilo’s defence. Costa continued saying,
“It’s just something you remember bro. Years down the line you remember that, I’m pretty sure if you had to ask him, he probably doesn’t even remember doing that. You remember these things on the come up because you get that energy of like you know… There’s even stories that I can’t really mention to protect certain people but like, situations of like… nah, that one must just continue dancing. Leave the music.“
