2016’s 10 WTF Moments In SA Hip Hop was an interesting list to compile. There have been a lot of crazy moments in SA Hip Hop this year. SA Hip Hop as a genre has grown and we have a lot more artists in the game which means we are going to see a lot more scandals. The WTF moments we have seen this year have been able to catch us all off guard so we have created a top 10 WTF moments list:

1. AKA and Cassper hug after Fill Up Orlando Stadium

AKA was seen walking into the Fill Up Orlando Stadium after party V.I.P section and everybody thought it was about to go down but the rappers saw each other and hugged in public for the first time ever. We really weren’t ready for this moment.

2. Anatii and AKA hang out as if nothing ever happen at the Artiifact pop up store

Anatii and AKA fell out sometime last year after the release of the Sexy Chubby Nigga’s smash hit single titled ‘The Saga’ which featured the Supa Mega himself. The rapper were not seen together until Anatii was about to go on tour for his debut album.

3. Nasty C signs with Mabala Noise instead of Roc Nation

The rapper had been in the game for under a year when he announced that Roc Nation had called his phone and they had plans to sign him. Nasty C was later approached by Mabala Noise before he had met up with the people from Roc Nation and he signed that deal.

4. Maraza signs with Oskido’s son after saying he wouldn’t sign with Mabala Noise

Maraza has been in the game for a very long time and he has managed to get to where he is as an independent artist but after releasing the biggest song of his career he goes on to sign with Oskido’s son who just started a new record label called Africa Lit.

5. Black Coffee Slaps AKA’s road manager in Polokwane

Black Coffee is not the type of guy to fight but he gave AKA’s road manager a hard slap to the face after he found them setting up when it was time for his set. Black Coffee and AKA have a history that is well documented so this seemed as if he did it coz of their past.

6. HHP sends a f*ck you to Emtee

Jabba sent a fuck you to Emtee after he found himself explaining the ‘Roll Up’ hitmakers controversial lyric to people and he was tired of always cleaning up for the rapper. This became even weirder when A-Reece spoke about the time they met Jabba, he had heard the song and he was completely OK with the lyric.

7. Okmalumkoolkat arrested for sexual assault in Australia

The Smart Mampara found himself in a difficult situation when he was out touring in Australia when he got back home drunk and couldn’t find his room. The rapper found himself in someone else’s room and according to him they switched up the story when it got to the police.

8. Scoop Makhatini tells the legendary Ntukza that his video is trash live on air

Ntukza was on Turn Up premiering his music video called ‘Illa’ which features Kwesta Dakar when Scoop decided to be blatantly honest with the legends work. He told him that he needed to go back to the drawing board and give us something better than what he had released.

9. Chad Da Don diss track aimed at  Cassper Nyovest

Chad Da Don used to be signed with Cassper Nyovest Family tree and later decided to leave the stable so he could start his own label but later on he brought a record where he talks about how he really feels about Cassper Nyovest. He says he used to pay rent for the rapper and he never got his money back!

10. AKA dumping Bonang on Twitter

The Supa Mega is one artist who knows how to use Twitter and this has him sharing a lot of information on the platform. The rapper had a fight with his girlfriend and he went on to break up with her on Twitter right before sharing how the make up sex was.
