Tshego On The Biggest Thing He Learnt From Working With Cassper And What He Hopes Cassper Learnt From Him
Tshego On The Biggest Thing He Learnt From Working With Cassper And What He Hopes Cassper Learnt From Him. Tshego has come a long way since his first big break at Family Tree under Cassper’s wing. The rapper has produced incredible music with a notable feature being No Ties featuring King Monada. Although he has come so far, he often takes moments to reminisce on what he has learnt in the industry.
Tshego was the second South African rapper to be featured on Belaire’s self-made series with CEO Brett Berish after Yanga Chief had featured. Tshego and Brett got into how Tshego started making music as a young boy, to his family life and even what’s to come in the future.
The More Drugs collaborator told Brett that him and Cassper come a long way, they used to meet up a lot when they were younger, steal their parents cars to meet up and even went to parties together. The two reconnected again at Family Tree. Brett asked Tshego what’s the one thing he picked up from Cassper.
“Stage presence. Stage presence on a 100. Always come with the stage presence. I definitely learnt my crowd interaction from those times” Tshego answered.
Brett also asked Tshego what he thinks the Good For That hitmaker picked up from him. “Hopefully he picked up musicality. He’s always been dope but I know my myself as not really on a balance of too cheesy cause I really hate the cheesy sh*t and really balancing it with like being musical being above the best and not mediocre.” He answered.
Tshego parted ways with Family Tree in 2018 and revealed that he had not received royalties from some of his hit singles Hennessy, The Vibe and Tell Em Say. He revealed later that he won the battle against the label and had the funds owed to him transferred to his account.
