Emtee On Whether He Listens To Artists He Features

Emtee On Whether He Listens To Artists He Features. Rapper Emtee has confessed that he does not listen to any South African rapper’s music even his own music. The bold confession has left many scratching their heads, in confusion considering that Emtee has worked with several artists in the country one would think he has his colleagues music on blast but it seems that is not the case.

The Logan hitmaker responded to a question posted on Twitter asking “South African rappers that you listen to every day?” When the tweep asked the question, they must have been looking for names of rappers, as most hip hop music listeners have that one artist that they can always listen to their music that seems to not be the case for Emtee.

Emtee responded and said he listens to not a single rapper’s music. “Nobody. Not even myself” tweeted the rapper. Another tweep then went on to ask the rapper, if he listens to the artists he features and his response was probably not what the tweep expected. “Yes. Kill me ke,” responded Emtee. Emtee has worked with Mzansi rappers such as 25K, AKA, Nasty C, Sjava, Saudi and Moozlie, so, one would think he has played those artist’s music, but according to him, he doesn’t.

The award-winning rapper features on Kasi trap rapper 25K’s debut album, Pheli Makaveli, on the track called ‘Self Made. The track has so far received a positive response from fans, Emtee has even promoted the Culture Vulture’s album on his Twitter page. “Trap is back… Hoe! @TheReal_25K just dropped his debut album. Go get it! Trap is back!!!” tweeted Emtee. Now the question at hand is whether has the rapper listened to the “Pheli Makaveli hitmaker’s music?

Despite him not listening to the artists he features to music, Emtee is very generous when it comes to them, earlier this month, he shared that he is on a “feature spree again” and when he comes to costs, the rapper had shared that if you are boss “we split it equally”. “I’m on a feature spree again. Get yours ASAP for the Low this coming week,” tweeted Emtee.

Most tweeps are still trying to actually understand what Emtee’s response actually means, because if he has not listened to an artist’s music before then how did he decide if he wants to work with that individual. Also, the biggest question is what songs are on his playlists.
