Nadia Nakai Reveals The One Track She Took From Cassper For Her Album. During Nadia Nakai’s interview on YFM’s podcast with Banques and Venom, the rapper spilt the tea about her Cassper’s working relationship and shared the story of how she finessed the rapper into giving her a song that was his for her album.
Nadia shared with Banques and Venom that Cassper had a huge influence on her album, Nadia Naked, as she trusts his opinion when it comes to music. “I value his opinion with music, he was definitely the person that would make me feel comfortable, if he said it was dope then I would trust it. Him going platinum quadruple platinum is not by accident, he’s smart. So he definitely was a big influence on what made the cut on the album.”
Bragga went on to explain that Cassper did have an influence on how she did certain things when it came to her album. “The song called love was actually inspired by him cause he was listening to Nipsey that day and was like listen to this joint and I listened to the joint and we made a beat that kind of had that vibe and love was created.”
Nadia then went on to reveal that the track Chankura, which Cassper features on was actually a record for his album, but she got her way and made it hers. “Then Chankura, actually Chankura, I took from his album, I stole that,” the rapper admitted. “It wasn’t even my track but he was doing amapiano and that hip hop track didn’t fit,” she added. Nadia jokes with Banques and Venom and says she “finessed Cassper Chankura and he gave it to me” to which they respond and say to her they can’t believe Cassper fell for that, he should know better.
Recently it became public knowledge that Nadia is no longer a part of Cassper’s record label, Family Tree and whilst the move did leave fans and Nadia herself heartbroken there is no bad blood between the two collaborators. The rapper confirmed that she left Family Tree in an interview with Slikour. “No, I’m not still with the tree, I’m working on my own record label at the moment. It is very tricky cause when I had the conversation with Cass I was so scared to talk to him, I was like, ‘listen, I need to do my own thing, I could feel like he was sad,” revealed Nadia.
