DJ Speedsta On Whether He Believes Being A “Pretty Boy” Helped Elevate His Career. DJ Speedsta is arguably one of the hardest working people in the industry. The DJ has built a solid reputation for himself in the industry, through all the work he has done in broadcasting and music. Speedsta has been a force in the entertainment industry for approximately over a decade and he shows no signs of slowing down.
The producer recently had some free time, which he used to answer questions his fans had for him on Twitter. “Come, let’s go. Responding to everyone today,” tweeted Speedsta. DJ Speedsta responded to as many questions as he could. The Metro FM radio host, answered one tweep, who asked “Do you think being a pretty boy elevated your fame or your hustle did?”
In his response, Speedsta got candid with the tweep and shared that he has “worked really hard”, he also acknowledges that TV did elevate his “fame” as he just wanted to be a DJ. “All the other stuff was never part of the plan. I’m one of God’s Favorite’s, it’s difficult to explain. Ask people close to me. Things always work out, the lord is always on my side,” the producer explained.
Speedsta is gearing up to drop new music with Zoocci Coke Dope, something his fans are very eager for, as it has been a while since his last release. During his interview with After Chillers with DJ Jawz, Speedsta shed light on why he hasn’t released new music. “I took a break from music because I just wasn’t in the right space. I just felt like I wasn’t in the right space to make music and I don’t like to force issues you know. I have to feel good to make good s**t.”
The DJ also shed light on his future plans for his TV career, as the show he is currently hosting, LIVE AMP on SABC 1 will not be returning for another season. “I’m back to TV now but as we all know it’s the last season. So I think after this season, I’m also gonna take a break from TV just for a little bit, obviously, still do my radio show, see how that goes,” he shared with DJ Jawz.
