Lootlove Shares Her Thoughts On Rappers Becoming TV Presenters. TV and Radio personality LootLove is a guest host on the latest episode of the YouTube show POPcast with Scoop Makhathini and Ms Cosmo. The hosts discussed topics that have been trending on social media, such as rapper Cassper Nyovest becoming the host of the second season of The Braai Show which will be broadcast on SABC 1.

LootLove, Scoop and Ms Cosmo all shared their views on the drama around the show. However, In the beginning of the conversation, Loot said that she doesn’t want to say anything because she knows how sensitive and emotional people get. Loot does however find herself later sharing her views on the hot topic.

Loot raised a very interesting point, during the conversation, of how now rappers and now becoming presenters. Whilst there is nothing wrong with rappers entering the broadcasting space, in the past TV and radio personalities have received flak for dipping in other roles or have been accused of not opening up the industry for new talent. “But it’s fascinating how rappers are now becoming the new presenters and you know just putting their hands into everything, I’m just saying,” Lootlove shares with Scoop and Ms Cosmo. Scoop then asked Loot, “but there’s no shows, what are they going to do.”

The announcement of the shows new host has resulted in a back and forth between the parties involved and reignited the beef between AKA and Cassper, which has been going on for a couple of years. The radio host asked if the two rappers are not tired of the back and forths because of their beef. “I’m just like are they not tired, between the two of them, are they not tired, are they not exhausted. It’s been so many years,” Loot asked.

Ms Cosmo was in agreeance with Loot and shared that she is even exhausted with the long-running beef between the rappers. “I’ve said this before, I am tired of the back and forth but I mean it’s business, man and I guess in this stage, that’s what they kind of hiding behind.”

Ms Cosmo also added that she wishes that things were done properly so that there wouldn’t be this back and forth that everyone has to witness. Loot responds to Ms Cosmo and says that this is now a pattern and everyone knows that there will be some kind of debacle between the parties on social media, whilst people gain financially.
