Rashid Kay Shares The SA Hip Hop Albums He Rates As Classics. When it comes to Rashid Kay’s love for South African hip hop music, his love runs deep and he is known to often share his views about the popular music genre. The radio host recently took to Twitter to share an artwork that featured some of the most important SA Hip hop classics that he feels hip hop lovers should have in their collection.
The artwork is a tower of tapes of the album’s Rashid rates as classics, in SA Hip Hop. The list is in no particular order and only consists of some classics. Rashid in his caption, explains that for the list of some of the most important SA Hip Hop classics, he got the artwork custom made. “Some of the most important SA Hip Hop classics you need in your collection. I got this artwork custom designed,” he tweeted.

Of course, not all his follower’s agreed with Rashid’s list, one tweep even asked him if Thutho is Cassper’s best hip hop album as they feel that the rappers first one and his latest album Any Minute Now are quite amazing. Rashid reminded the tweep that “Some artists like @ProVerbMusic have more than one classic and I didn’t list all of them.” Rashid also explained the meaning of the empty on the side that has no label on it. He said that fans can add their own whoever they like to it.
Rashid also reminded tweeps that they should skip politics when it comes to his tweet. as he has only mentioned some and not all the classics. Another tweep commented that hip hop is a weird genre, as they were wondering why a certain album is not on the list and at the same time are happy to see another favourite but shared that Rashid’s caption explained it all. “Lol HipHop is one weird genre, I’m out here like why is Dark or Blue not there, at the same time I’m happy to see Skhanda Republic.
