Talib Kweli Reacts To Cassper’s #TheBraaiShow Trailer. It is no secret that South Ah rapper Cassper Nyovest and lengendary U.S rapper Talib Kweli are good buddies, the two have publicly hung out and have even worked with each other on some music together. Talib recently left a comment on Cassper’s Instagram post, showing that their friendship is still alive and that the U.S rapper is still keeping tabs on the Mzansi rapper.
The countdown is on for the debut of The Braai Show With Cassper Nyovest and to stir up more excitement around his latest gig, Cassper has shared the show’s trailer on his social media platforms. Cassper’s Instagram post of the trailer has received over 217 000 likes and over a 1000 comments and one of those comment’s is from Talib himself.
Yes, Cassper’s OG dropped a comment on the rapper’s post and shared exactly what he thinks about, the trailer. Talib wrote, “brilliant” and Cassper responded to him and said he hopes he is good. Talib told Cassper that he is good, indeed and shared that he hopes to come back to South Africa soon. “@casspernyovest indeed hopefully I get back over there soon,” commented Talib.
Talib and Cassper previously linked up when the US rapper was in Mzansi in 2015. The two rappers had a fun time together exploring Soweto and later found themselves in the studio, where Talib jumped on a Doc Shebeleza remix and Cassper also featured on Talibs’ track called Fuck The Money.
The Maftwon rapper has also been praised by Talib who he credits as one of his idols. According to a tweet by Cassper, Talib during a conversation called the South Ah artist a “great rapper”. Cassper tweeted, “I read a tweet where the legendary Talib Kweli was having an exchange of words with a follower and is sentence contained the phrase “a great rapper named Cassper Nyovest”. Bro do you even understand? One of my idols, back in maftown with nothing dreams, addresses me as, Wtf?”
The sizzling trailer, for The Braai Show With Cassper Nyovest, gives viewers a taste of what they can expect on the second season of the show. The show debuts on SABC 1 on September 8th on the channel. This is the rappers first time as a TV presenter something he is very excited about, he also holds the title of executive producer on the show. Cassper takes over the hosting reigns from his rival, AKA. There has been some legal drama around the show but it seems it will not stop the show from being aired on the public broadcaster.
