Audiomarc Shares How He Thinks Meek Mill Should Select A SA Hip Hop Artist To Work With. American rapper Meek Mill had SA fans hot and heavy in his mentions on Twitter as they shared who they think the famous rapper should work with following his request for suggestions. Meek Mill is gearing up to drop his fifth studio album, Expensive Pain, on October 1st. A fan asked if there would be any features from SA Hip Hop artists on Meek’s upcoming album and in his response, Meek indicated he was open to the idea.
Several names were put forward by fans from Nasty C, A-Reece, Emtee and Cassper Nyovest. Fans explained in their comments why Meek Mill should pick that particular artist. Since so many talented South Ah Hip Hop artists were suggested it might be tough for Meek to be able to choose the right artist to work with. Nasty C’s official DJ and artist, Audiomarc seems to have a strategy for Meek to adopt in order to make the selection process easy for himself. The producer shared on Twitter that the numbers should be a factor when it comes to the selection process.
“It has to make business sense for Meek, so numbers matters,” tweeted the DJ. Audiomarc’s tweet of course ruffled some features with his opinion as not everyone seemed to understand the point he was trying to get across. One tweep commented and said, “we know, talent too, let’s wait for the final decision ke bhuti wabantu yek ukhullumela abantu. peace out”. It seems some tweeps who saw what Audiomarc had to say took it as though he was subbing A-Reece, who was a popular contender to work with Meek. Audiomarc caught the subs that were being dropped on his tweet and shared a follow-up tweet where he said, “baze bayidla imix up abantu, what’s so offensive about my tweet and why you chose to get offended.”
The DJ also went on to further explain himself on Instagram after he was tagged in a post by SA Hip Hop Reloaded which spoke about his comments. Audiomarc said that maybe he should have worded his statement better so that people could have understood him better. “I guess I should have said music that does numbers,” said the DJ. He also went on to use Nasty C’s song Jack as an example of what he means. “A typical example Jack is a single but when you combine it’s numbers on all platforms it’s doing more streams than some projects that dropped this year & that’s just facts, but crucify me,” he added.
