“I’m Actually Shocked When He’s Creative,” Scoop On Cassper

“I’m Actually Shocked When He’s Creative,” Scoop On Cassper. On the latest episode of POPcast, Ms Cosmo, Scoop and guest panellist Muchie, discuss the flaming hot question of which rapper they think has made a bad business move and why. The panellists each had their own pick and stated the reason why they think that the rapper made a bad business move. Over the years rappers in South Ah have tried their hand at business move outside of their music. Some moves have flopped and some have earned the rappers some serious coin.

The panellists were asked to “name a rapper who has made the worst business move and why” Ms Cosmo selected the question randomly. Muchie answered that Cassper’s business move with Shoprite was a bad move for the rapper. A few years ago, the Tito Mboweni hitmaker did an advert for the retail giant, Shoprite. Muchie noted that whilst it was a good business move, he thought the brands didn’t match. “It didn’t seem like anything he came up with like just use your song for it and then we’ll put him in it,” Muchie explained.

Scoop then expressed his thoughts on the situation and made it clear that when it comes to the creative side of things, that is not Cassper’s strongest trait. “At this point, I’ve learned I guess not to expect things that are, I just expect Cassper to take the bag, I don’t expect him to like I’m actually shocked when he’s creative. To be honest. Like the Samsung was the last advert that I saw and I was like this is well made. When he’s being creative is not his strong point but making that money is his strong point,” Scoop explained.

Ms Cosmo then went on to share what she thought was Cassper‘s worst business move, which was his cellphone deal with AG Mobile, which took a turn for the worst after the business was liquidated. “My business move that I was going to talk to was the initial cellphone company that he had done a deal with. Where he was trying to sell the cellphones and I was like eish, it’s not packaged correctly because he’s not a salesman he’s a brand. So you can’t expect him to be selling phones every two weeks,” she shared.

Muchie reminded his fellow hosts that with that business deal, the company was the one at fault and not Cassper, as AG Mobile could not meet the high demands for the phone.“…the company itself, they had a bad business model because the phone sold out, they just couldn’t meet demand. So that the phones of Cassper on that thing, the deal wasn’t like, a lack of sales and then it went under, no.”
