Nandi Madida Reacts To ‘Worst Encounter Working With K.O’
“His Very Professional” – Nandi Madida On Working With K.O. Songstress, actress and fashion designer Nandi Madida has collaborated with award-winning SA Hip Hop artist, K. O on two hit singles. Nandi recently opened up about her working experience with the talented rapper and she had nothing but good words. Nandi was a guest on Lasizwe Dambuza’s popular YouTube show, Drink Or Tell The Truth and got Candid on a few hot topics. On, Drink Or Tell The Truth, Lasizwe hosts Mzansi personalities and asks them burning questions that South African fans would love the answers to.
Several SA Hip Hop such as Da L. E.S, Nadia Nakai and Boity have been guests on the show and answered some burning questions. Questions for the show are preselected by Lasizwe’s content director, Emmanuel Ndlovu, and neither Lasizwe nor the guest sees the questions ahead of the show. Nandi was asked by Lasizwe if experienced any bad encounters when she was performing with K. O. “You were once a musician and made a song with K. O, during that time what was the worst encounter you had to come across when you guys went gigging?”.
In her response, Nandi said, “K. O’s really professional, he’s actually the one guy in the industry who’s really professional. Like Ntokozo. We’ve only done like what 3,4 gigs together because obviously, our schedules were all over the place… He’s an incredible person, he’s also very professional,” shared Nandi. The two musicians in 2019 released a single called, Say You Will, which is a follow-up single to their smash hit Skhanda Love, which dropped in 2014. Both singles went on top the charts and on both singles, Nandi and K.O proved that they know how to create magic together.
K.O and Nandi even went on to win an award at the 26th annual SAMAs for best collaboration, this was Nandi’s first SAMA award. The two have crafted a great working relationship, Nandi has previously taken to social media to appreciate how great of an artist K.O is. In 2019, Nandi tweeted, a tribute to her collaborator. “Shoutout to my brother @Mrcashtime since the teargas to now as a solo artist, u have always bn consistent with the quality of music, no gimmicks, like taking off items of clothing, creating controversy..just pure talent&good music..glad people are celebrating real hip hop again”.
As to whether these two hitmakers will jump back in the studio again, only time will tell. After all, they did wait a few years before giving fans another smash hit, maybe history will repeat itself again?
