Reason Shows Off His Daughter’s Writing Skills. It seems that rapper Reason is not the only person in his family who is skilled when it comes to the pen game. Reason is known to be a great songwriter, whether he penning his own verses or for other artists, he is known to deliver stellar verses. Judging by the rapper’s latest Twitter post it seems Reason has passed on the writing torch to his daughter.
Reason shared a picture of a verse that was written by his daughter. In his tweet, it is evident that Reason is pleased with the verse written by his daughter. “My daughter wrote a verse today,” he shared. The verse is 6 lines and is an ode to women. “Woman are about power. They work for every hour. They are great mothers. Even to others. They are beautiful Queens. No matter what it means,” read the verse.
Reason’s pen game has always been praised by fans and those in the industry. Recently it was claimed that Reason is the man behind DJ Maphorisa’s rap alter ego, Madumane’s verse on the track, Izolo. Popular SA Hip Hop commentator Rashid Kay tweeted a thank you message to Reason, thanking him for ghostwriting the verse, which trended online after the release of the visuals for the track. “Dankie @ReasonHD for the ghostwriting,” tweeted Rashid. His tweet sparked speculation that Reason is the ghostwriter behind Madumane’s fire verse.
The speculation was also hyped by the fact Maphorisa and Reason had recently collaborated on music together. DJ Maphorisa and Reason collaborated on Reason’s first amapiano track, Khanda Shisa. Reason responded to the ghostwriter claims, his response was not a clear answer but it did give a view on Reason’s stance on the claims. Reason tweeted, “I don’t ghost write. I co-write”, while he didn’t mention Maphorisa’s verse, his tweet did come after the speculation trended online.
