SA Hip Hop Brings The Heat With New Releases, Showing The Genre Is Very Much Alive. While critics have been commenting heavily about the current state of SA Hip Hop, artists within the game are putting in work and releasing music that shows just how alive the genre is in South Ah. This week several hip hop tracks have been released by SA artists. Big names artists such as Big Zulu, Yanga Chief and AKA have dropped new music for the streets to enjoy. Emerging artists have also dropped new music an indication that the young artists are not here to play when it comes to making their mark on the SA Hip Hop scene.

If a person had thought that Hip Hop in SA was dead, the new heat is certainly a reminder that the genre is still very alive in the streets. SA Hip Hop artists are not limiting themselves when it comes to the and are working with each other to create heat. Renowned rapper, Nasty C for instance has dropped verses on two emerging artist’s new releases. Rapper Yanga Chief has also made his latest release, Ntoni featuring Blxckie and 25K available on digital platforms for fans to enjoy. Here are a few new releases that SA Hip Hop lovers can enjoy listening to.

Fans are loving the releases and social media is buzzing with reviews on the new releases from fans as they all share whether the music is hot or not. It is also a big day in Hip Hop music in general as international Hip Hop Drake has dropped a new album. Drake’s new offering has not however shadowed the SA releases as fans are praising the heat SA artists have dropped. The support from fans comes at a great time, especially considering all the negative comments SA Hip Hop has been receiving on social media.

Indigo Stella ft Nasty C -Company

Indigo Stella has dropped her second single from her upcoming album, Interstella. The song is titled Company and features one of the best rappers in Africa, Nasty C. Indigo Stella after making the song knew she needed a feature on it that would balance out her melodic chorus and verse and give the track that perfect final touch; and she knew exactly who needed to fill that feature, Nasty C. Indigo Stella hit ‘The Zulu Man With Some Power’ up and asked him if he’d be keen on being part of the song, and he agreed without a doubt and laced the most poetic rap verse. Nasty C has also laid another fire verse for Anica Kiana’s newest offering Gotta leave.

Big Zulu – Ichwane Lenyoka

Big Zulu has finally dropped his highly anticipated album, which is slowly climbing up the hip hop charts. The rapper has encouraged his fans to continue streaming his album so that he top the charts and take the top spots from Drake and Kanye West who also have dropped albums. “Nkabi Nation ?? Maggz had promised his fans that he would be dropping so new heat and he has certainly delivered with his new release, called NayLe. Maggz has received so much support on social media with his new release. This is his first offering of the year and it gives fans a taste of his new sound Vaito. Maggz had previously shared that he would be coming with a different sound for the streets to enjoy. “These past few months have been a journey for my team and I as we’ve embarked on a new voyage, a new sound rooted in South African kasi culture and lifestyle, we call it Vaito,” he shared on social media.

AKA and Costa Titch are back with a new offering from their upcoming joint project, You’re Welcome. The upcoming joint project currently has no release date but fans can expect it soon. The rappers didn’t make fans weight for a second single and dropped it a week later. They could definitely drop their EP soon to keep the momentum around them going.
