Lady Du Recalls The Rapper Who Gave Her A Platform When She Was Coming Up. Dudu Ngwenya, better known as Lady Du is one of South Ah’s biggest vocalists and she is dominating in the Amapiano genre. She has worked with some of the key producers in the music industry such as DJ Maphorisa when he still made Gqom music, DJ Clock and DJ Mshega. Lady Du has been working several years trying to obtain her big break in the mainstream and now she has. The artist, who also DJs began her music career was nine and now she is a chart-topping artist. Lady Du’s vocals on the hit song Umsembenzi Wethu are unmissable. It’s hard to actually there was actually a time when SA didn’t know Lady Du.

The award-winning songstress recently took to social media to reflect on when she was trying to make. Lady Du reflected on the people that were instrumental in her blow, at a time when no one believed in her. Lady revealed that rapper and businesswoman Boity Thulo was among the people who gave Lady Du that push her career needed. The songstress shared a clip of an episode of Boity’s reality show, Boity: Own Your Throne. In the clip, Lady Du appeared alongside Bash Vision, Naak MusiQ and Boity. Lady Du shared that she had been hired by the trio as a vocal coach and songwriter for the Ba Kae hitmaker.

Lady Du explained that after the episode people actually began to notice that she was actually talented. The episode certainly episode doors for Lady Du as she had calls from people wanting to work with her. Lady Du also shared that while she was already on her journey working with them certainly boosted things. Lady Du was already writing music, some are even hits but she hasn’t revealed that and neither have the artists. “Here are the people that deserve credit for my blow up, people that gave me a platform when no one else believed in me. I’ve been writing songs for a lot of artists, serious hit songs, if I can tell you you’d pass out, but they kept quite, and that’s fine,” said Lady Du.
