More South Ah celebrities have come forward in support of rapper, Boity Thulo after she recently was a victim of assault allegedly at the hands of former Metro FM radio host Bujy Bikwa. An image of Boity following the assault incident has gone viral on social media creating outrage among SA famous personalities. An audio clip of what transpired between Boity and Bujy has also been leaked and is doing the rounds on social media.
Boity who is a known advocate against Gender-Based Violence has opened a case of assault against, Bujy. He has since been released on R2000 bail. As Boity becomes a talking topic on social media, several personalities such as Nadia Nakai, Maps Maponya, Phumzile Van Damme, Denise Zimba and DJ Zinhle have called for justice for Boity. In her statement about the assault, revealed that following the case with keen interest. #JusticeForBoity is gaining momentum on social media as Boity’s supporters show their support.
Popular Twitter user Karabo Mokgoko shared her reasons why she is supporting the popular personality. “One thing about Boity is that she’s that celebrity that calls out abusive celebrities and supports victims, let’s return the energy and support her,” tweeted Karabo. Bujy has given his version of events in a statement, which has not been very well received with Boity’s cousin and plus-size model, Thickleeyonce slamming, the TV personality’s statement. “F*ck him” wrote Thickleeyonce in response to the statement. Individuals such as rapper, iFani thought they could make light of Boity’s unfortunate response by sharing tweets that played on metaphors. However, he has instead been met with backlash to his insensitive words. The rapper tweeted that if he had the chance to hit Boity he would have not used a bottle. Musician Holly Rey has described iFani’s tweet as being, “the most disrespectful tweet!!!”. Other famous friends such as Siv Ngesi and Rich Mahog have also slammed iFani. “You’re a fucking imbecile. How you correlate this woman’s unfortunate circumstance with an opportunity for a weak ass bar is truly and honestly beyond any form of logic. You deserve a comprehensive beating poes,” tweeted Rich Mahog. Siv has on the other hand told iFani to come to him for a serving of a punch or two. “Why don’t you come here and I’ll hit you with left and right msunu!” tweeted Siv.
