#TheBraaiShowWithCass September Viewership Reportedly Declines. Cassper Nyovest has taken over the hosting reigns of The Braai Show on SABC 1 and all eyes are on him to see how he performs. On the socials with every episode, the show tops the trends chart even before it airs. The show is certainly popular especially on social media, yet it seems the numbers are not rising The latest viewership numbers have been released, bringing a spotlight to how the show is doing. Over the season, Cassper has hosted some of SA’s top personalities from Makhadzi, Zozbini Tunzi and Mihali Ndamase.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela gave a recent report of the September viewership numbers for the show. In his report, Phil spoke about how the show made its debut and the numbers it pulled. The show made its debut in September with 2.2 million viewers, which is lower than the first season of The Braai Show hosted by AKA. Rapper AKA managed to rack in 2,88-million on November 1st 2020 when it debuted. Phil explained that the most-watched episode for September was the premiere. This means that no other episode was able to top viewer ratings in September.

“TV: Braai Show Season 2 numbers declined after debut Just over 2.2-million on September 8th was the most watched episode for the whole month, meaning subsequent episodes pulled lower viewers. The new season is yet to beat season one’s 2.8-million peak,” reported Phil. The Broadcast Research Council Council Of South Africa recently shared the stats for the September 2021 Top TV programs for Prime Time, which is from 17:30 to 22:00. Cassper’s show is number 13 on the list. October viewership numbers are yet to be released as to be able whether viewers are finally tuning in to the show as opposed to watching it on social media only

The rivalry between AKA and Cassper has made anything that two rappers do a competition, which has raised interest in viewership numbers amongst fans. There is still one more episode to go and perhaps the show can pull in a record-breaking 3 million viewers. Only time will tell, what surprise October episodes might pull. “NOTE: While unlikely, the show can still pull high numbers to beat Season one with the remaining episode in the season,” Phil further reported. Some fans of the show have argued that the issue is the time slot, which is 6 pm, one tweep even suggested that maybe if it was at a later time slot more people would tune in.
