Its clear that the rapper has had a topsy-turvy hip hop career and he had to work his way up despite all the obstacles he faced along the way. Responding to a Twitter user who shared their frustrations towards artists who take R500 for a Gig, Cassper revealed the amount of money he earned on his first Gig in Johannesburg. “Niggas who take R500 for a gig frustrates me.”

Nonetheless, Cassper as popular as he is right now, did not shy away from sharing how much money he earned on his first hip hop gig. He also went on to indicate that, artists should always have a starting point and that’s how it is in the music industry. “My first paying gig in Jhb was R700. We all start somewhere.” Tweeted Cassper.

Through his accomplishments, he has become an influence to his hip hop fans, demonstrating that everything is possible. Since releasing his first album, “Tsholofelo”, in 2014, the rapper has defied all odds in the Mzansi entertainment space. From founding his record company to selling out stadiums and making history, he has done it all.
