IFani Takes A Swipe at Amapiano, Promises to Bring Hip hop On Top. Ifani has been one of those controversial artists in the SA hip hop game. The artist has been in cahoots with quite a number of rappers in Mzansi hip hop with the likes of AKA and Cassper Nyovest not being spared from his rants.

During an interview, the Ingoma Ezimnandi chanter stirred a controversial statement mentioning that his music career is dead. “It died. Obviously. Now I’m pregnant with a new one. Had a miscarriage last year. Who knows…might give birth this year. It might be twins or quadruplets.” He said.

With all the Amapiano and Hip hop debate that has been going on, Ifani felt he should share his own thoughts in regards to that issue. The rapper claimed that he will put to rest the never ending debate and he will be bringing hip hop on top this coming weekend. “Thank you for your amapiano… I’ll be bringing hip hop Back on top. Starting this weekend, We taking over.” He tweeted.

Ifani enters and exits the industry at will. The rapper just took a sabbatical from music in order to devote more time to his family. His comeback to hip hop came when he made a song with Big Xhosa and he mentioned how pleased he was to be working with the young rapper. Ifani explains he won’t be guiding Big Xhosa because he wants him to be as free as possible, but he will always be available to him if he needs industry guidance.

“I want him to be free, he can go to any artist for advice and if he feels comfortable with me, he can always seek my advice and I will be there for him.” He said. Now that Ifani hints on dropping new music his come back will likely create so much suspense. Nonetheless, everyone will surely be waiting to see what the Mthatha rapper have in store this time around.
