The rapper managed to secure a spot for the SAHHA2021 nominees for Best Female, little did people know that she will go all the way and win the award. It was not an easy contest for the Wuz Dat hit maker as she faced competition from Gigi Lamayne and Moozlie, female rappers who have been in the game for 10 years.

Boity shared a post on her Instagram page, sharing with her fans how grateful she is for their amazing and unwavering support they have shown her. “Ladies and gentlemen… I present to you the @southafricanhiphopawards Best Female Artist Winner. ?? I wouldn’t have done it without your love, voting and immense support! ??? Thank you so much, family! ???❤️❤️❤️ #SAHHA2021#OwnYourThrone?.” She wrote.

Ever since she jumped into the hip hop scene, Boity has normalized being a winner. Her music has garnered more positive reactions on different platforms. She had won the Best Collabo on her track Wuz Dat in 2018 and in 2020 she won the best Remix on Utatako.

Even though Boity claimed the prestigious female hip hop award, some hip hop followers thought otherwise. Others claimed that other contenders, such as Gigi Lamayne, were more deserving of the award. Some even said that Boity won because of compassion votes rather than talent.
