Yanga Chief Shares Who He Thinks Could Be The Change That The Arts & Culture Industry Needs. Once upon a time, Fikile Mbalula was the minister of Arts and Culture and Yanga just wants things to go back to the way they were in order to push the industry forward.

In a tweet, Yanga expressed that he feels that the Arts and Culture department as well as the industry is lacking some juice and could use some more improvement.

The 200 hit maker appealed to the government saying that with all due respect, if they are serious about stepping up the entertainment industries game, then Minister Fikile Mbalula should return as the minister because he is the key to accessing more change and opportunities.

“All I’m saying is if govt is serious about Arts&Culture they’ll appoint Mbaks as minister. No shade to other ministers but we need access and a revolution of the industry” he said.

This then encouraged a conversation about how the industry has taken a back seat since Mbalula stepped down as the Minister of Art and Culture to assume his current ministry.
