Producer Makwa Reveals Why He Is Not Recording Music At The Moment. These days, being a hip-hop producer is nearly as glamorous as being a rapper, and for SA hip hop there are producers who have also mastered the art of rapping. Producer Makwa is not an exception and he has contributed tremendously in the SA hip hop culture.

Some might want to argue that SA hip hop is dead due to the dominant of Amapiano movement with other rappers joining the Yanos bandwagon. For Makwa it is a different case to why he has decided to take a breather in making rap music. The prominent hip hop producer shared the reason why he has not been making music and what his fans should expect in the future. Via an Instagram story the producer also revealed the type of music he will be releasing once the decides to go behind the mic.

“Reason I don’t want to record songs at the moment its because I don’t wanna sing about all the things that are happening in my life right now.”

“I made too many broken songs. I don’t want to sing about struggles man, people want happy songs. All the music that I recorded will be deleted, because trust me its broken songs only” he wrote.

Makwa has been crowned for making a slew of good songs in the SA rap game and his relationship with other SA rappers has been beyond comparison. His body of works in his recent song “KubeK’yangami” cannot go unnoticed, along with the craft he appended on one of the hit songs “Mtan Omuntu.” The producer received his flowers for the great works he did on the song and KidX surprised him with his own Plaque during a concert. Only time will tell if Producer Makwa will give dish out something that will raise the spirit of his hip hop followers, but for now we wait!
