Producer Ruff Explains The Best Formula To Remain Relevant With Good Music. Ruff, the producer of the African Trap Movement (ATM), has worked hard to get to where he is now. The producer has worked with different rappers and the music he has created its a clear indication that Ruff is amongst the prominent Producers in the game right now.

In a Twitter post, the prominent producer shared that hip hop artists should avoid using the same formula when they are making their music. He emphasized that if the formula has worked in the past it doesn’t mean the rapper should keep on using it. The producer mentioned that the only creative way for an artist to stay relevant and exciting is by finding new sounds to make good music so that people wont get tired of hearing the same tunes all the time.

“In music If a formula worked for you don’t repeat it. Yes some people will say yo music is not the same and that’s the whole point so u don’t become a boring artist ..people get tired of hearing the same thing so don’t give em what they expect.” Tweeted Ruff.

Ruff has worked with Emtee on his breakout song ‘Roll Up’ and up to this very day the two have formed a good relationship in the hip hop culture. When the two worked on the song in the studio, Emtee told Okay Africa that they had no idea it would become so successful.

“When we made Roll Up I don’t think none of us thought it was gonna be this big. We knew it was a dope song, big song, but we never knew it would get us here. Roll Up got us here,” he said.
