DJ Jawz Reacts To Flvme’s Statement On SA Having The Best Hip hop Scene

Flvme has been the latest rapper who has weighed in on the current status of hip hop and the reason why the genre is making slow progress. The rapper alluded that the rap game in Mzansi has been witnessing the same people for many years and it needs new faces for it to progress at a fast rate. “SA HIP HOP WILL KEEP GROWING SLOW AS LONG AS WE KEEP THE SAME FACES … IT’S BEEN THE SAME PEOPLE FOR YEARS NOW !!!” Tweeted Flvme.

The While You Wait hitmaker further explained that South Ah has the best hip hop space. He revealed that the lack of support within rappers has hindered the culture to progress. “South Africa Has The Best Hip Hop Scene . It’s Jus Not Growing Because Of How I We Look At It. We Don’t Take Pride In Our Artists . Niggaz Jus Wanna Break Us Down Instead Of Lifting Us Up.” He wrote.

Flvme’s words have not gone unnoticed, with DJ Jawz taking time to respond to the FaceTime hitmaker’s claims about South Africa having the best hip hop scene. The acclaimed DJ vehemently agreed with Flvme but he went on and gave advice on how rappers can revive the game again.

Dj Jawz also disclosed that rappers must engage more with their fans and they should support each other all the time. “Y’all gonna be aaight, just be inclusive and be part of the South African music scene you will see what happens. Mix up with everyone and please the fans not friends. If it makes sense to be on a gospel song, do it. Support each other and push one another for the sake of the game.” Wrote DJ Jawz.

DJ Jawz is widely regarded as one of South Africa’s most decorated DJs. It remains to be seen whether his advice to South African rappers will be heeded by the majority of artists in the game.
