Here’s How Cassper Has Decided To Honour Riky Rick. One thing that is certain is that SA hip hop has produced all kinds of beef and that has been an art to gain traction in the game. Cassper and the late Riky Rick have had their own fair share of debacles in the game.

With the news of Riky Rick’s passing, most South African rappers have taken to social media to pay tribute to Boss Zonke. Cassper Nyovest was one of the rappers who was expected to speak out about the veteran rapper’s death.

Instead of sending a condolence message, the Mama I Made It singer chose Riky Rick‘s image as his new Twitter profile picture. Cassper and Riky Rick’s relationship has been known for a long time to be rocky.

The Family Tree muso came out and indicated that his relationship with Boss Zonke was good. He alluded that there was no real issue between them but it was all ego. “The Riky one is very sad, that was my brother, and I keep saying that it hurts because I never thought there’d be a day where I don’t speak to Riky.

“And what hurts more is that I never thought there would be a day where I don’t want to speak to Riky”, said Cassper. Cassper continued and said perhaps one day the two of them will be able to come to terms on a different level and mend their relationship.

“I don’t think that it’s damaged forever. You know maybe one day I’ll be at Hilton College and Mikey will be taking a certificate there and Khotso is there and I happen to be sitting next to Riky.

“Maybe one day we’ll connect on a different level. Not as artists but as parents. And maybe that will happen. But as Mauthi fela I think it was destroyed for like nothing.” He added.
