New Music Friday – K.O Lightens The Mood For SR3 With “Emoyeni,” Nasty C Releases “Can’t Imagine.” SA hip hop artists look like they are now setting the tone higher in the bid to send a message that the genre is not dead. During the beginning of the year, we witnessed the new wave dropping some good tracks to enlighten the atmosphere in the SA hip hop space. The likes of Big Hash, Lucasraps, and Malome Vector dropped energetic hits to keep the hip hop groove on.

The good news is that the old dogs in the game have embraced the same energy. This week SA hip hop new music release has witnessed two big artists releasing fine tunes on the same day. K.O and Nasty C have come out to send a clear message that SA hip hop is here to stay.

In his new single, Nasty C is clearly targeting and vocally tackling some people and events in this track, leaving many to question who or what Nasty is referring to. In the track, the rapper maintained his macho energy, reminding people why he is at the pinnacle of the hip hop game we all adore.

Nasty C announced the debut of his new sound on Twitter, along with a preview of the song, inviting his followers to download the complete version online. “#CantImagine OUT NOW! #FreeSpanks,” tweeted Nasty C.

It looks like K.O is delivering upon his promises. The Skanda Republic chief came out and promised his fans that he will be dropping SR3 this year after it was delayed due to lockdown restrictions. The rapper has finally shown his cult-like following what they should expect from his incoming body of works SR3 with a new track titled ‘Emoyeni.”

Taking to Twitter Mr Cashtime announced the release of the music video setting the mood high within his SA hip hop following. “It’s officially live! #EMOYENI audio and video up right now! Skhanda to the World Kuyafiwa,” tweeted K.O

25K has also made it to the list of new drops of the week with a new music video for ‘Trap Jumpin.’ The track is from his debut album Pheli Makaveli which was released in 2021. In the song, the young rapper recounts his experience in the hoods of Pretoria.
