“He crosses roadblocks,” Rashid Kay Speaks On Big Zulu’s His Rise To Fame. Big Zulu’s rise to stardom was marred with numerous ups and downs. The rapper went on and dropped South Africa’s biggest song in Imali Eningi featuring Intaba Yase Dubai and Riky Rick.
During the Masterclass Podcast, Rashid Kay revealed some of the rapper’s untold struggles before he rise to fame. The SA hip hop activist mentioned that Big Zulu overcame many obstacles in his pursuit of success. Rashid Kay further revealed that the Bergville rapper used to move from one radio station to another rapping freestyle in a bid to get the platform on the airwaves.
“Big Zulu’s fame is different because he crosses roadblocks,” said Rashid Kay. “He worked for that sh*t because he would go to YFM to Mullar’s show to freestyle, he would come to Metro FM to just drop bars, he would go to Khozi FM to rap, he was hungry at some point, he worked for this sh*t.” Rashid Kay added.
Big Zulu has risen to prominence as one of the most influential performers in South African hip hop, owing much of his success to his perseverance and hard work.
