“I’ll build my own,” Big Xhosa Hits Back Following CottonFest Snub. Following his open letter apologizing to SA hip hop, Big Xhosa seemed not looking forward to making any amends with anyone in SA hip hop. In his letter, the Inyile muso apologized for making diss tracks fashionable in SA hip hop, and that has made him everyone’s enemy in the game.

“I’ll build my own,” Big Xhosa Hits Back Following CottonFest Snub

Following the announcement of the CottonFest program yesterday, Big Xhosa discovered that he was not chosen over other musicians who, in his opinion, were not as talented as him. Big Xhosa reacted to a question on SA Hip Hop Experts‘ Twitter page about why the rapper couldn’t make it on the lineup after having a good year. “No Big Xhosa at Cotton Fest this year following a successful year for the Xhosa Rapper, your thoughts?” Says the tweet.

The rapper made it known that the game doesn’t like him. He went on to say that if he isn’t given opportunities, he will develop his own platform where he will be appreciated more.

SA HIP HOP don’t like me my guy, not even stressed about it.. They got a whole bunch of unknown high school skrrr skrrr kids there. But no worries if they don’t invite me to their table I’ll build my own.” Tweeted Big Xhosa.

Big Xhosa might have not made it to the lineup for this year’s CottonFest but the exclusion of K.O and his SkandaWorld crew stirred a massive uproar on social media. It’s unclear why the SA hip hop G.O.A.T didn’t make the cut, but whatever the reason, it appears that Mzansi will not open its doors to entertain it.
